In February 2026, the Scottish Government agreed to fund us to carry out some work to introduce this approach in more detail and support implementation between now and the end of June -

    

  • Month 1 - Initial open session online  26th February.  1pm to 3pm - Introduce the approach and ask people to get involved in site specific follow up.

 

 

  • Month 2 - Practitioners online open session 1 - 3rd of March 1pm – 3pm What’s working not working and linking to key sections. Site specific in person days (two sites)- What’s working not working and linking to key sections in greater depth (dates to be agreed with sites). One to one follow up session with leaders - to explore what Practitioners have said in this section and related next steps.

 

 

  • Month 3 - Practitioners online open session 2 - 7th April 1pm – 3pm Areas for improvement and quick wins. Site specific in person days (two sites)- Areas for improvement and quick wins with examples from our experience in detail. One to one follow up session with leaders - to explore what Practitioners have said in this section and related next steps.

 

  • Month 4 - Practitioners online open session 3 - 5th May Sticky issues. Site specific in person days (two sites) - Sicky issues cross referencing with Toolkit planning process and facilitation. One to one follow up session with leaders - to explore what Practitioners have said in this section and related next steps.

 

 

  • Month 5 - Practitioners online open session 4- 2nd June What would it take to move forward? Site specific in person days (two sites) - What would it take to move forward? Pulling together aspects from previous sessions and comparing the learning and approach to current processes and protocols.

 

                

  • One to one follow up session with leaders - to explore what Practitioners have said in this section and related next steps

  • Capturing and feeding back the learning –  Create a learning report with the express aim of contributing to achieving Coming Home priorities through using the toolkits to refocus what success looks like, simplifying and speeding up ethical and effective decision making using the best learning available.

On the 9th of September 2025, we hosted a conference to launch our new toolkits. Over 50 people joined us and together with a successful online launch at the end of October, we are pleased to say we are reaching more people as well as doing more detailed work around making the changes happen.
